Uttar Pradesh Common Admission Test (UPCAT 2014) is led by formation of dental colleges and private medical in the state of Uttar Pradesh. This medical exam is led for taking admission in Bachelor of Dental Surgery i.e. BDS courses manageable by dental colleges and private medical. UPCAT is sanctioned by the Govt. of India for providing admission to the applicants from all over the India. All the universities providing this BDS course under this medical entrance test are also permitted by Govt. of India and are acknowledged by AICTE.
UPCAT 2014 Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant should complete 17 years of age on or before 31st December, of the year of admission to the BDS program.
- Applicant should have successfully completed 10+2 or correspondent from a documented board with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology
- The applicant should have recorded not less than 50% in the qualifying exam.
UPCAT 2014 Paper Pattern
- This medical entrance exam will contain of an objective type exam of 180 minutes duration comprising 200 queries of 200 marks.
- There will be 50 questions each for Physics, Zoology, Chemistry and Botany.
- The syllabus for UPCAT will be as per the 10+2 examination (ICSE / CBSE / U.P. Board or correspondent).
- The question paper will be given in English language only.
- The applicant is required to answer 200 Multi-choice questions in 3 hours.
- Each question will carry equal marks. All questions will be objective type with Multiple (1, 2, 3, 4) choice, only one will be the proper answer and therefore the right choice.
- Each correct answer will be given one mark. Zero marks shall be given to no answer.
- There will be no negative marking for improper answer or more than one choice indicated against a question.
