GSL Medical College was founded in the year of 1999 by GSL Educational Society. The main aim of the institution was to endorse medical teaching and health care all over the state. The medical institute was started in the reminiscence of Smt. Ganni Subba Lakshmi. Sri Ganni Murthy, husband of Smt. Ganni Lakshmi was the actual originator President of the college.
